Have you ever wear eyeglasses? Do you know how to protect your eyeglasses as well as eyes? Have you realized that wearing eyeglasses in improper way will affect your eyes health? As more and more eye diseases happen to a lot of eyeglasses wearers, it is really urgent for people to know the skills to wear eyeglasses in correct ways.
Choose the suitable eyeglasses
If you would like to buy a pair of eyeglasses, you should get your eyeglasses from its usage. For example, if you have normal vision and get fashion eyeglasses just for enhancing appearance, you can lay the stress on the styles and comfort index when choosing the eyeglasses. If you have vision problems, it is advisable to get professional optometry in a hospital for getting the prescription first. Then get the prescription eyeglasses in local or online optical stores. Of course, you also can get the fashionable prescription eyeglasses, but the fashionable feature should work in accordance to the prescription.
Take serious attitude to wear eyeglasses
As I know, some people especially young guys like to change their eyeglasses with their friends for fun. They may think that their eyes' degrees are the same, so it makes no difference to wear each other's glasses. Actually, they are wrong. Even if they share the same eyes' degrees, they may have different pupil distance. Each pair of eyeglasses is only for a specific person. So wear others' prescription glasses as little as possible and don't let others wear yours. Taking serious attitudes to wear eyeglasses is quite necessary actually.
How to keep your eyeglasses in daily life
Nowadays, for some reasons, people have to change their eyeglasses frequently in their life. Thus, they will cost much for the new eyeglasses. There are two reasons that may lead to the problems. The one reason is that the glasses they purchase are in poor quality. Another reason is bad habit for maintaining eyeglasses. The improper methods are easy to make the eyeglasses worn. When you put off you eyeglasses, put the lenses upright and keep in mind that lenses shouldn't be put down on the table in order to prevent them from being scratched. When you rub your eyeglasses, you should use clean with special flannelette instead of unclean handkerchief or clothes. Take care of your eyeglasses will prolong its life span to some degrees.

How many hours' sleep did you get last night? The experts tell us that as an adult we need 7-8 hours of undisturbed sleep a night to stay healthy, alert and able to function effectively in our daily lives. Unfortunately for many women going through menopause, that amount of undisturbed nightly rest is nothing but a pipe dream!
Lack of sleep can leave you irritable, unable to concentrate at work or on daily tasks. Over time, insomnia can lead to depression and a weakened immune system.
Although the inability to get a good night's sleep can be linked to psychological issues such as anxiety, stress at work, relationship or family worries and financial concerns, changes in hormone levels are often the root cause of insomnia in women during the menopausal years.
A decline in progesterone, which normally has a sleep-inducing effect, can mean you are not able to fall asleep quickly or soundly, while decreasing estrogen levels may cause hot flashes and night sweats, waking you up several times a night and interrupting your sleep cycle.
How To Get A Good Night's Sleep
Fortunately there are ways that you can wind down your body and your mind to induce sleep and get the rest you need.
Natural & Herbal Remedies
Herbal remedies are a safe and natural drug-free alternative treatment for menopausal symptoms and insomnia.Plant extracts such as Black Cohosh and Dong Quai have been shown to address the hormone imbalance that causes sleeplessness, hot flashes and night sweats. Melatonin, Passion Flower and Valerian Root can be effective in helping you to relax and in promoting restful sleep.
Guided meditation and music therapy, either in the form of CD's or downloadable MP3 files, can be extremely powerful in promoting deep relaxation and ultimately, sleep.
Breathing techniques used in meditation are also calming and relaxing and help to prepare you for sleep. Lie on your back and try to focus fully on your breath, in and out. Whenever thoughts enter your mind (and they will), just calmly set them aside and return your focus to your breathing. It takes a bit of practice but is also a great technique for getting back to sleep if you wake during the night.
Progressive muscle relaxation techniques focus on relaxing the body which in turn relaxes the mind. Lie on your back and consciously relax each muscle one by one starting at your toes and moving slowly upwards through your ankles, knees, upper legs, thighs, abdomen, chest, hands, arms, shoulders, neck, jaw, face and head. This technique works so well that you'll probably be asleep before you reach your neck!
Read a Good Book
Something soothing and benign; no adventure novels, psychological thrillers or horror stories. A couple of paragraphs at bedtime can often be enough to lull you into sleep mode.
A simple yoga stretch and relaxation routine before bedtime can set you up for a relaxing night's rest.
Warm Bath or Shower, Scents
Try having a warm, relaxing bath or shower about 15 minutes before bedtime. Scented candles or soaps can lend a sense of calm and relaxation to your night- time ablutions. Just don't forget to blow out the candles before you go to bed!
Top 5 DON'Ts...
Watch TV directly before going to bed (or while you're in bed!).
Work on the computer or surf the web for at least 2 hours before bedtime.
Drink alcohol or caffeine for at least 4 hours before retiring for the night.
Eat big meals or snacks after 7pm.
Read stimulating or disturbing books in bed.
There is no 'one-size-fits-all' cure for insomnia. You have to find out what works for you. You can do this by trying out some of the remedies and techniques mentioned here to see which ones really work for you. Keep a journal so you can see whether certain activities, eating or drinking patterns correspond to your insomnia.
And if all else fails, get up and go into another room for 10 minutes before returning to bed. Sometimes it works!

Urinary incontinence is not a condition that occurs on its own. Most of the time, it is a symptom of another medical problem which you may not be aware of yet. This particular condition affects people from all age groups, both men and women, and occurs all over the world. Many people lose hope after they realize they are suffering from incontinence. The idea of wearing "diapers" all day long to prevent embarrassment can be scary, but this shouldn't stop you from seeking treatment options for incontinence and for the underlying condition causing it. Always seek medical advice from your doctor for the right urinary incontinence treatment.
The first thing a doctor will do is to determine what type of incontinence you have. Whether you suffer from stress, urge, overflow, or functional incontinence, there will always be a treatment option for you.
Behavioral methods involve bladder re-training, lifestyle changes, and diet management. For bladder re-training, the patient needs to control urination by delaying it once the urge is felt. On the other hand, for those who control their urination a lot because of work or other "important" matters need to carry out some lifestyle changes such that they need to go to the bathroom as soon as they feel like urinating to prevent overflow incontinence and even, urinary tract infections. As for diet management, it is best if carbonated and caffeinated drinks are eliminated from your diet since these tend to be bladder irritants.
Incontinence can also be managed by doing physical therapy such as the Kegel exercise routine. This particular exercise targets the pelvic floor muscles and strengthens it for better urinary control. There are also medications that can help keep your continence problem at bay. Anti-cholinergic medicines are prescribed to calm overactive bladder while certain anti-depressants are used to treat mixed incontinence. For incontinence due to muscle loss in women, there are topical creams that are applied to the urinary area to help them tone up. There are also medical devices like urethral inserts that are inserted into the vaginal cavity like tampons to absorb accidental leaks from occurring.
If you are suffering from urinary incontinence, don't despair. There are several ways for you to treat your incontinence not only with absorbent products, but also with lifestyle changes, diet restrictions, and medicines. As soon as you are able to manage incontinence, see to it that you also address the underlying condition causing it so that you can have a life free from embarrassments.
Animals, over the years, have proven their inestimable importance in the treatment procedures of individuals with special needs. For instance, persons with visual impairments are accompanied by trained Seeing-Eye dogs to adequately negotiate their physical environment and avoid any accidents. A growing number of researchers and doctors have propounded the theory that dogs can be used in the treatment of autistic individuals, for not only do they provide physical protection, but also emotional support.
"Autism dogs" are trained to provide assistance to individuals with autism spectrum disorder. These dogs are physically connected to the autistic individual by means of chains or ropes for either of the two following reasons.
Firstly, these "service dogs" ensure the safety of the autistic individual. For instance, they will prevent a child with autism from darting across a busy street. If the child has a tendency to walk wayward and get lost, then the dog can prevent the child from straying off by virtue of its own weight. These service dogs are also trained to follow instructions from parents. They are trained to notify the parents if they sense any danger. Such instances may involve the moments when the autistic child is unhappy and has a propensity towards causing harm to himself/herself. The presence of a dog is like an additional source of security, as it is not always possible for a parent/care-taker/relative to accompany the autistic child.
Secondly, proponents of this method also state that the child tends to develop an emotional relation with the "service dog". Moreover, the presence of the animal can help to minimize, and gradually eliminate the frequency of emotional outbursts that are common among autistic children. The dog can also function as the focal point for conversing with other children. In this way, the autistic child will also develop his/her language and communication skills.
There are numerous testimonials that attest the effectiveness of "Dog Therapy" in the treatment of autism. Two primary outcomes have been observed:
Enhanced physical security and safety.
Enhanced emotional, retentive and social skills.
Parents and family members need to submit applications for obtaining a "service dog" to the organizations where they are available, like 4 Paws For Ability, National Service Dogs, Autism Service Dogs Of America etc. The cost incurred is approximately around 20,000 dollars. The basis of procurement of a service dog does not, in any way, depend on the severity of the debilitating condition, or the age of the autistic child. The application does not focus on the autistic child's level of functionality.
Once the application has been granted, then the parents of the autistic child can work in unison with the trainer and condition the dog to get habituated to the particular conditions of the autistic child. Moreover, the dog is also trained to follow instructions given by the parents.
The definite causes of autism, and the particular chemicals that can improve the condition are still much debated, just as the several complementary non-invasive therapies that are aimed at the overall cognitive, linguistic and emotional development of the autistic child. "Dog Therapy" is yet another addition to the list of contested therapies for autism treatment. Yet, it has already proven its success, as children who undergo this therapy are safe from accidents, and can develop their emotional skills.

Trichomoniasis is a curable sexually transmitted disease most often found in young women. Though it is the most common type of STD, symptoms appear only in 50% of the women. It is transmitted through a parasite called as protozoan and is found in the tissues of the vagina.
Recognizing the symptoms of trichomoniasis
1. Usually the symptoms include vaginal discharge i.e. yellow, green or frothy discharge with bad odor. Also, you will experience vaginal itching, pain while urinating like burning sensation, and irritation at the opening of the vagina.
2. Symptoms usually start within four days after a sexual contact with an infected person. While in some cases, the symptoms won't appear for several years after getting infected.
3. You should know that, it can cause pain in your vagina during intercourse. While in some rare cases, you will have lower abdominal pain. Symptoms will become worse at the time of menstrual cycle.
4. Women with trichomoniasis are more susceptible to HIV infection, usually due to vaginal inflammation. If you are infected with both trichomoniasis and HIV, then there are increased chances to pass HIV to your partner during sexual contact.
5. Most often, the symptoms of trichomoniasis are confused with vaginal yeast infection, hygiene products, spermicides, and allergy to laundry detergent. STDs that show similar symptoms as trichomoniasis include: gonorrhea, chlamydia and other vaginal infections.
Vaginitis on the other hand is a most uncomfortable disorder that leads to infection, redness, soreness and irritation of the vagina. There are various forms of vaginitis that affect a woman's condition. Here are some steps to help prevent vaginitis:
1. Follow good hygiene
After using the restroom, wash from front to back so that it prevents bacteria from entering into the vagina. Remember that the things that touch your rectal area when coming in contact with vaginal area make the infection worse. Wash the hands frequently and bathe as often as you can.
2. Dress in right clothing
Loose fitting clothes and limiting the time you spent in tight clothing can give some relief to your condition. Use cotton panties and don't wear panty while sleeping.
3. Stay away from fragrant smells
Don't allow fragrances and perfumes in contact with your vaginal area. Stay away from products like shower gel, bubble bath, scented pads and tampons, lotions, soaps and sprays.
4. Avoid douching
Only wear tampons or pads during your actual period.
5. Consume high quantities of yogurt
The contents of yogurt can greatly help to avoid vaginitis.
6. Take safety precautions during sexual intercourse
Yeast infection and other types of vaginitis can be easily transmitted between sexual partners. If you are prone to this infection, it is better to use condoms.

The CDC describes asthma as simply a disease involving inflammation of the airways and lungs. People suffering from asthma have constant inflammation of the airways and lungs, causing numerous breathing issues, which can lead to other serious problems, including obesity.
For many asthma sufferers, physical activity can cause an onset of asthma attacks. This type of asthma is called exercise-induced asthma, or EIA. EIA is a particularly dangerous form of asthma because it causes many sufferers to avoid exercising, leading to obesity. Obese asthma sufferers have a much more difficult time managing their asthma and breathing in general than those leading a healthy lifestyle.
In a research study preformed by Neuroscientists at the National Institute of Aging in Boston, a group of obese asthmatics were put on a strict diet eight-week diet plan inducing 8% initial body weight loss. Each patient experienced a noticeable improvement in asthma symptoms. The study suggests that the connection between weight loss and asthma lies in the inflammation of the lungs. Weight loss helps reduce inflammation and stress on the lungs, in turn reducing asthmatic flare-ups.
Though physical activity can sometimes induce asthma attacks, it is extremely important that asthmatics stay active to help manage and reduce flare-ups and symptoms. The American Council on Exercise has preformed research suggesting asthmatics that participate in a regular exercising routine promotes higher tolerance, reduced stress, regular sleep patterns, higher energy levels and reduced asthmatic attacks. It is especially important for those suffering from asthma to maintain a healthy lifestyle and weight. Losing weight and leading a healthy, active life decreases the tendencies for asthma flare-ups.
To avoid asthma issues related to exercising, it is always important to check with a doctor before starting a new exercise regiment. Doctors and medical weight loss specialists can be can be especially helpful with suggesting customized and beneficial weight loss routines that will not cause breathing issues. Medical weight loss specialists and doctors can provide patients with healthy exercising routines that work best with their body and will not induce physical stress. Medical weight loss professionals can provide additional custom assistance in diet plans and medications in balance with exercise plans.
For added protection against flare-ups, Doctors can also provide patients with inhalers. These inhalers are very beneficial in preventing breathing issues when administered 10 to 15 minutes before physical activity. It is also important for asthmatics to remember to ease into new exercise regiments, and to warm up properly before exercising.
Though many asthmatics may fear asthmatic attacks, it is clear that a healthy, safe exercise routine can provide asthmatics with a natural and beneficial way to manage life with asthma.

1. Wash your face on a regular basis. Acne is basically caused by the sebum and dirt that accumulates in the pores of the skin. If you regularly wash your face, you can prevent this from happening, but you must remember to use mild soap or cleanser. Do wash your face twice a day, just after you wake up and before you go to sleep. The most recommendedacne treatment for adults is Cetaphil, and this may be in the form of a soap or facial cleanser. This product is known to help control the secretion of sebum.
2. Eat the right foods. If you are determined to get rid of your acne, you must start eating the right kind of foods. Eating vitamin and mineral-enriched foods can help you attain a healthy and acne-free skin. You should be eating more fruits and vegetables regularly rather than consuming junk food or processed foods. Vegetables and fruits contain lots of vitamins that are important in skin restoration and rejuvenation. You also have to avoid oily foods as they will just further increase the secretion of sebum.
3. Drink lots of water. We are all expected to drink at least 8 glasses of water because our body so requires it, but many of us are still not doing it. If you religiously follow this tip, you will most likely be able to reduce your acne. When you drink plenty of water, toxins will be flushed out of the body, which includes the toxins that reside in your skin. Water is not only effective in reducing acne, but it will also make your skin a lot healthier. It is not that easy to make this a habit, but you'll soon get used to it and if you see amazing results.
Water is not the same as alcohol, tea or coffee as they have different effects. Water hydrates the body while alcohol, tea or coffee dehydrate the body. If you notice when you're drinking tea, you always urinate, and this may lead to dehydration if you don't replace your body fluid with water. This means that you should be drinking more water than any other liquids.

Arthritis is known to cause both pain and inflammation - this is where ice packs step in and help you reduce the inflammation. By icing your joints (or by soaking them in very cold water for several minutes), you will reduce the swelling and you will temporarily relief the pain as well.
Tip #2: Lose Several Pounds
This is by far one of the most important aspects you need to take care of if you suffer from arthritis. Extra weight not only increases the chances for dangerous diseases as you age, but it also puts unnecessary pressure on your joints, thus making them hurt even more.
Having said that, it is important to try and reach a normal weight for your height - in order to do that, you must firstly calculate your body mass index (BMI). You can do that using an online calculator. When you start losing weight, you will look better and feel better!
Tip #3: A Healthier Lifestyle
A healthy lifestyle involves a balanced nutrition and regular exercises. If you have any vice such as smoking or drinking alcohol, then it is highly recommended to quit, as chemicals are the last thing you need in your body with all the inflammation and pain caused by arthritis. Your blood needs as much oxygen as it can get, and smoking prevents the oxygen from reaching the blood and the vital organs.
On the other hand, you can also keep the pain and swelling under control using superfoods that have anti-inflammation properties. Increase your intake of lean meats, fruits and vegetables and try to do more exercises. Swimming and walking are two of the best exercises for joint pain, as they support your bones and joints and they strengthen your muscles.
Strengthening your muscles and ensuring their proper functioning is vital, as weakened muscles can increase the risk of joint deterioration in the future.
Tip #4: Massage
Massage has been used for thousands of years due to its wealth of health benefits. It is also used today to improve blood circulation, especially to support peripheral blood flow.
Professional therapists deal with arthritis sufferers on a constant basis, therefore they certainly know some techniques that alleviate the pain in a natural and efficient way. Besides, the results should be long-lasting, too!
Tip #5: Increase Your Calcium Intake
Calcium is essential for the health of your bones, so make sure that your daily calcium intake for joint support and bones is of 1000mg. If your body lacks calcium, it will start to get it from your bones, which will leave your joints without any support whatsoever - this is particularly dangerous for those who have been suffering from arthritis for several years.
To summarize, these are 5 natural ways that will help you control joint pain and inflammation without using NSAIDs or any other potentially dangerous drugs.

Lavender oil has long been considered a basic by the many who use an aromatherapy oil warmer, scented candles, soaps and cosmetics. It is also traditionally thought of as effective in home made mosquito repellents, skin lotions, shampoos and house hold cleaning solutions. With lavender, the essential oil uses are many.
Please note however, that like all essential oils it is a powerful substance. It can be diluted for use on skin with a carrier oil, such as coconut, jojoba, hemp, almond, apricot kernel, or olive oil.
The word "lavender" is from the Latin verb "lavare", to wash. As well as having a very clean smelling fragrance, lavender has been used as an antiseptic, "forever".
The lavender essential oil is distilled from the plant's flowers. Lavender flowers are decorative, and if dried, can be used is sachets for your drawers and closets.
Just let Lavender flowers dry out in the vase and then scrape the flowers into a bowl. Use small bags with a drawstring to make your sachets, or use baby socks and tie them.
Hang in your closet, hide on your shoe shelf, and tuck into storage drawers.
Dried lavender flowers can also be used for smudging just like you would with a bundle of cedar or sage. The smoke is sweet and refreshing to most.
If you have never smudged before, please learn how to do this safely. You can burn yourself or drop embers onto the floor if you're not careful.
Dry lavender flowers fall apart at the slightest touch, so just keep a bouquet in a vase. Pluck out one stem to burn, placing it in a bowl of sand. Place it away from you.
It will light quickly, burn fast, and go out quickly. Still, you can walk around the area you are cleansing and you'll spread the fragrance.
Personally, I would not smudge at home if there are children, unless the smudge bowl, and lighter or matches are kept high out of reach.
Head Lice Natural Remedy
If you prefer to use only natural remedies for minor afflictions, you can try adding lavender oil to shampoo to treat head lice. It has been seen to remove them, and destroy the nits as well.
Stress and Tension
Another of lavender's uses is for the relief of nervous tension. A couple of drops in your bath water or foot bath relaxes muscles and is cleansing as well. This is why lavender has gone into soaps, lotions, oils and cosmetics for so long.
Test New Oils
Whenever trying a new essential oil, try one drop on your skin and wait to see if you get any irritation. (Most stores have tester bottles).
Lavender oil is thought to be a milder oil and many people can put it directly onto the skin, but if you haven't used it, test it.
Fragrance oils may be diluted with non-organic oils and chemicals. They are less expensive, but buying a locally grown essential oil is your best bet.
Unfortunately the word "pure" does not mean much on a label any more. However, "USDA Organic" certification is helpful, again, if the plants are locally grown and processed.
Here is some guidance on how to buy from the best sources for lavender [http://www.squidoo.com/essential-oil-energy]essential oil energy.

Mould allergy occurs when an individual is exposed to microscopic fungal spores from mould. Since these spores are small, they can evade the protective mechanisms of the nose and upper respiratory tract, and consequently the lungs.
Causes of Mould Allergy
There are different types of mould; however, only certain types cause mould allergies. These include alternaria, aspergillus, clasdosporium, penicillium, helminthosporum, epicoccum, fusarium, and phoma, to mention a few.
Mould allergy occurs when an individual comes in contact with the mould spores, causing an immune response where the body thinks they are foreign invaders and develops an antibody to fight them. This causes the body to release histamines, which cause itchy, watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing and other symptoms related to mould allergy. Even after the exposure has passed, the body will still continue to produce antibodies, which will remember the mould spores (invaders) the next time contact occurs.
Symptoms of Mould Allergy
Symptoms of mould allergy are similar to those which occur in other upper respiratory allergies.
Common symptoms include,
- Allergic Rhinitis
- Runny nose
- Nasal congestion
- Itchy, watery and red eyes
- Breathing difficulties
Mould spores can deposit on the lining of the nose, consequently causing x² fever symptoms, and can also reach the lungs causing asthma or allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis.
Treatment for Mould Allergy
Avoid contact with mould spores
This is the best treatment for mould allergy. To help reduce symptoms of mould allergy drastically, avoid cutting grass, digging around plants or picking leaves. If you must do any of these activities, ensure you wear a dust mask.
Antihistamines, bronchodilators and corticosteroids are used to ease the symptoms of mould allergy as there is no sure way of curing mould allergy. Corticosteroids help prevent and treat inflammation and they are the most effective allergy medications for most people, and as such are usually prescribed first. Antihistamines help with itching, sneezing and runny nose, and work by blocking histamine which is released by the immune system during an allergy reaction.
This involves administering a series of allergy shots to help eliminate some allergies. However, immunotherapy is only moderately effective against mould allergy.
This is usually recommended to help with irritating nasal symptoms. It involves rinsing the nose with salt water and can be effective in relieving congestion.
Tips for Prevention
• Keep damp areas such as bathrooms well ventilated
• Refrigerators should be kept clean, watch out for mouldy food.
• Avoid damp and musty buildings and where HAY is stored.
• Avoid cutting grass, raking leaves and turning compost heaps.
• Keep all bathroom surfaces clean.
• Get rid of old foam pillows and mattresses.
• Do not store clothing or shoes in damp cupboards; leave wardrobe doors ajar to ventilate the clothes.
• Control indoor moisture by using a dehumidifier.
• Reduce the amount of indoor house plants and ensure those present are free of mould on leaves and in potting soil.
• Throw away or recycle old books, newspapers, clothing or bedding.

If you are a person who suffers from panic attacks and anxiety, you know just how debilitating these afflictions can be, as you will find yourself dealing with the panic attack symptoms of feeling depressed, feeling inexplicable darkness hanging over you, feeling all alone, and even feeling as though those to whom you are closest (your friends and family members) are all in grave danger; what you may not have realized, however, is that there are things you can do to prevent these attacks from occurring - which will put you in a position where you can ward off these attacks, instead of simply trying to get rid of them once they arrive.
Yoga: One of the best ways to prevent these from occurring is by making sure you are keeping yourself calm and settled at all times, and one of the best ways to train your body to be this way (to be settled and relaxed, instead of being tense and up-tight) is by doing yoga on a regular basis; as you start engaging in yoga regularly, you will find that it is becoming easier and easier to gain "panic attack treatment" through simple prevention.
Eat well: When you keep your body in good health, you will be benefiting yourself in a number of ways - and among these will be the fact that you will be warding off the negative effects of panic attacks; one of the big panic attack causes is poor health, so start focusing on eating well and taking care of your body, and you will find your panic attacks decreasing.
Meditate: Along the same lines as yoga and eating the right foods, it will be possible to keep your mind healthy and calm when you start taking the time to meditate each day; realize that this meditation does not have to be associated with any religion (although, of course, it certainly can be), but simply taking some quiet time each day to let your mind be still will go a long way toward calming your emotions and - once again - helping you with panic attack treatment through panic attack prevention.
Learn: And when it comes to treatment, one of the most positive things you will be able to do is learn as much as possible about them, both in general and as they pertain to you; the more you learn about prevention, the easier it will become for you to get rid of these problems.
Remember: if you are a person who suffers from this problem, there is no reason for this to continue; all you need to do is start learning about the things that will help you keep them away, and you will be able to finally have peace of mind and a pleasant, relaxing life.

This article tell about to improve health by Refoxology therapy and Trigger point therapy.Author would like to about usage benefits of these therapies. He tells therapies are sign of good health. Therapies haven't side effects its only benefits.
1. I may not be skilled with a knife. Any doctor can set up in business as a cosmetic surgeon. If you'd rather not be a guinea pig, find one who's a member of Association of Plastic Surgeons.
2. Breast enhancement too has risks. Fillers and implants are classed as devices, so they don't undergo clinical trials. Safety standards may not be satisfactory.
3. Come back in 2025. Breast implants need replacing every 12 to 15 years, which means four operations in a lifetime if you have them at 20. And though a facelift will always make you look younger, you'll need another in ten years— the lifetime maximum is three.
4. If you're cut, you'll scar. I'll do my best to hide scars, but I can't stop them showing up. They're more likely to be visible if you're fair-skinned. Long scars can be a problem for anyone when loose skin is removed.
5. Over 50? Swap needles for knives. Most patients don't go near an operating table because they rely on injectable to freeze muscles and fill out their face. But only a facelift will help once the muscles start to sag.
6. Ops with maximum "ouch" factor include tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast implants under the muscle and brow lift, which stretches the nerves. But full facelifts, nose reshaping and breast reduction are less painful than you'd think.
7. Boob jobs can be avoided. Breast reduction for men is now gaining popularity, but there's an alternative. They could work out at a gym and save themselves a fortune.
8. Forget the lunchtime lift. The only safe thing to have cut in your lunch hour is your hair. Bruises take quick fix to the natural process of aging and the pace of aging, to a large a fortnight to fade and wounds can take weeks to heal, so don't expect to go back to work in a few days.
9. A clinic is a place, not a person. Choose a specialist by name so you can discuss treatment with your surgeon, not someone at the clinic eager to "close the sale."
10. Injecting Botox into an orange is sometimes all the training technicians get, and I can't supervise if I'm based far away. Go to a surgeon whom you can meet again and again, if needed.
I I. I can't turn you into Aishwarya or Shah Rukh. I should be turning one in three patients away because I can't meet their expectations.
12. Your scalpel safari could last longer than you think. If you're going to another city for the surgery, ask them what it will cost and who'll step in if your implants go pear-shaped.

You must be wondering what exactly are multifocal lenses. The days of having two pairs of glasses are now over - you can have multiple prescriptions in one! The main purpose of multifocal lenses is to provide you with two to three prescriptions in one lens. The top portion of the lens is powered so that one is able to see things at a distance. The middle portion of the lens is powered for computer use or to have the ability to see things clearly at about an arms length. The bottom portion of the lens is typically powered with a magnification which is used for reading.
It's important to note that there are two different kind of multifocal lenses of which you might prefer one over the other. It's all about your preference and what feels comfortable to you.
This kind of lens will have just two vision fields which are distinctly apparent. You can literally see the line separating the prescription and magnification. The upper portion normally has a prescription that is used for distance and the lower portion has a magnification that is used for reading.
Essentially it's the same idea as the bifocal but the abrupt and distinct line is blended so that the two (or three) vision fields are merged seamlessly.
Wearing either of these lenses is beneficial to you. They eliminate the need for a second pair of glasses which saves you time (searching endlessly for them) and money (one pair is cheaper than two!). When a person has a second pair of reading glasses, they are often used less than the main pair; they are usually misplaced or handled a bit rougher and are prone to being scratched and/or broken. By having multifocal lenses, the problem of "where are my glasses?" becomes a thing of the past.
Some feel comfortable with having the distinct line differentiating the different vision fields while others prefer to have the seamless look. These days prescription eyeglasses are so much easier to order than in the past. It's recommended to try both for a few days to see which one suits you best. It's important to know that adapting to your new multifocals might take some time. It's not recommended to drive while wearing your multifocals for at least a week. Start off by wearing the glasses for a few hours everyday and increase the amount of time by an hour or two. Practice normal everyday activities and notice the little adjustments that you will have to make while wearing them. It's very important to remember to allow a fair amount of time to get used to your multifocal glasses, even if they give you a headache for the first day or two.

The irony of an "anti aging weight loss" diet is that the secret to staying youthful will result in weight loss. It's relatively simple, just follow 4 simple steps:
Step 1 - Increase Veggies, Cut Back on Milk and Cheese
Best Anti-Aging Vegetables:
# Berries (Acai)
# Knotweed (Resveratrol)
Vegetables provide us with vitamins and antioxidants that protect our bodies from free radicals which cause aging.
Research shows that vitamin supplements do not provide an equivalent substitute to vegetables.
Take carrots for example, the nutrition of this vegetable will contain 96% more anti-oxidants than a vitamin pill.
Avoid Dairy Products:
Whilst great for children who need high-calorie intake for growing and unsaturated fatty foods, for adults calcium is mainly essential for bone strength.
Dairy products add calories, increase risk of cancers and raise cholesterol.
Step 2 - Go Fishy, Eliminate White Foods
Eliminating "white food" such as white flour and refined sugar are highly processed and add almost have zero nutrients.
Fish however are great for you, for example salmon, sardines and anchovies being some of the best anti aging weight loss foods as they contain omega-3, are high in protein and essential fatty acids that will reducecholesterol and install mental clarity.
Make sure you eat fish up to three times a week.
Step 3 - Halve Meat and Go Nuts
Meat is not particularly good for you (unlike seafood) as it provides your body with saturated fats (the bad fats).
Nuts, however contain protein, omega-3, essential fatty acids regulating your cholesterol and increase mental clarity.
Note: Vegetarians have the healthiest arteries - Period.
1. Halve Meat and consider it as a side dish. Eat no more than half you usually eat. Opt for low-fat meats like pork and chicken.
2. Go Nuts with those high in protein such as healthy fats, almonds, walnuts, and pecans in their purist form.
GREAT TIP! Place nuts everywhere with little bags of nuts at your desk, office, car, next to your sofa - Go Mad!
Step 4 - Eat Fruit, Avoid Chemicals
Fruit provides important antioxidants and vitamins.
1. Strawberries, Blueberries and Resveratrol found in Knotweed and Grapes will help cleanse the arteries and rejuvinate the skin by fighting off free-radicals through high concentration of anti-oxidants.
2. Avoid Chemicals, most importantly "Concentrated sugar" ingredients, that will lead to huge spikes in your risk of contracting diabetes.
If you follow these 4 anti aging weight loss steps, the diet itself will have an immediate effect on reducing your weight, whilst scrubbing your arteries if you consume high quantities of Resveratrol whilst changing the appearance of your skin almost over night, helping to eliminate wrinkles whilst providing a nourishing glow to your skin, nails and hair.

Spirulina is a blue green alga that is able to provide many health rewards. It is truly a well-balanced source of diet because it consists of antioxidant, proteins, minerals, vitamins and carbohydrate. Like many pills, spirulina too has adverse effects if not taken with caution. Then again, the adverse effects are very few since it is a natural product.
People dealing with anemia will likely feel lightheadedness, low energy and superfluous food cravings. Undiagnosed patients that feel these symptoms are urged to talk to a health care professional and get examined for anemia.
A fever could occur caused by the high protein intake. The high protein triggers the most typical spirulina algae side effects, which is an increased body's temperature. This is sparked due to the metabolism of the extra protein which releases additional heat. The produced heat and the temperature increases could result in fever.
The intake of the supplement needs to be combined with an abundance of water in order for the efficient absorption. One half liter of water is preferred to be consumed right after the consumption of the product. Without adequate amount of water, adverse reactions such as excessive thirst and constipation may occur.
Some people may suffer from body allergy or itchy skin. This is not a common condition which might be activated by an allergy to the blue green algae in general. A few men and women have been documented to experience the condition. It should not be an issue for most users.
Kidney and liver damage is the most chronic negative effects which might be triggered from the consumption of spirulina. This is normally due to the concentration of nucleic acid found in the organic component of the environment where the blue algae were gotten from. Therefore a consumer is advised to take the supplements that contain a low concentration of nucleic acid. Choosing the top quality capsules may save the trouble of getting a damaged liver or kidney.
Spirulina consumption can cause the stomach to generate excessive gas which could trigger stomach aches. This is a result of its high nutritional content present in the product. For some people more gas is released when digesting high nutritional content.
It can really get confusing when one has a muscle strain, sprained ankle and other similar maladies and is told to use "cold therapy" and "heat therapy". The mantras are "only use cold", "use cold for first 24-48 hours", "don't use cold use warm moist heat to stop your pain". How is one to know what to do?
Often lost in the determination is what is the condition of the patient at the time of choosing a hot or cold modality. Because one broke an ankle, tore a ligament, or suffered an injury months ago does not mean the condition is "chronic" since it happened months ago. Often the process of healing makes many situations "acute" to the moment.
Let's examine whether to use hot or cold, but more importantly, why to use the hot or cold therapy.
Generally speaking, immediately following acute injury the body goes into what is called an "inflammatory response" and the area gets red, gets hot and swells. During this time you don't want to inflame an inflammatory reaction and make it worse so the general rule is use cold therapy (cryotherapy). The cold actually:
reduces the edema,
lessens the pain,
cools the temperature of the injured area, and
stops the inflammatory response.
The inflammatory response is natural and helpful, but it can cause more injury especially in cases such as spinal cord damage, or brain injury where the swelling causes additional injury to healthy tissues.
After the swelling has stopped, the pain subsided some, and the area cooled down, then warm, moist heat is indicated ( not dry heat ) and that occurs generally when a patient is trying to regain motion, function. As the patient tries to regain full range of motion pain inhibits it and it is now that heat helps:
increase blood flow for faster healing
helps extend the range of motion when used complementary with exercise.
Now here's the "sleight of hand" that is often confusing to injured patients. Each time a patient goes through an exercise routine then new/old tissues are actually re-injured. That in and of itself re-excites the body's inflammatory response so in essence the patient now has a "new injury" brought on by the rehabilitation process. So immediately after exercising it's best to use cold therapy, not warm moist, as the area being exercised is now in a new "acute" injury process. Hot & Cold therapy is an example of " complementary " medicine to improve patient outcomes.

Tips to help bruises heal
Apply something cold to the area when you first get a bruise – this helps reduce its size by slowing down the blood that’s flowing to the area, which decreases the amount of blood that ends up leaking into the tissues (Ice in a bag or frozen peas do the trick!).
Elevate the bruised area above the level of your heart (if the bruise is on your shin, lie down on a couch or bed and prop up your leg) – through circulation against gravity, this slows the flow of red blood cells to the bruise.
Avoid aspirin. Aspirin slows the blood from clotting and may, in fact, prolong the bleeding under the skin.
After 48 hours, heat a warm washcloth and apply it to the bruise for 10 minutes or so 2 or 3 times a day to increase blood flow to the bruised area allowing the skin to reabsorb the blood more quickly.
Tips for preventing bruises
Wear protective gear if you’re playing sports, riding your bike, in-line skating, or doing anything where you might bump, bang, crash, or smash into something. Shin guards, and helmets might save you from a couple of weeks of aches and pains or worse!
Place furniture away from doorways and common walking paths within your home that you might bump into. Keep phone and electrical cords away from open areas where you may trip and fall. Children’s toys are also major culprits in causing spills and falls, so keep floors free of clutter.
Be sure floors are kept dry and that rugs are slip resistant. Always place a slip resistant mat outside of your shower or tub.
Plug in a small night-light or use a flashlight if you need to walk to the bathroom during the night.
Bruises Home Remedies
Make 8 pills by mixing 25 gms of jaggery to fine paste made with Peepal tree leaves. Take this pill daily with milk to relive pain due to bruises.
One of the most challenging times of the year for many people is hay fever or allergy season. From childhood through adulthood, the number of allergy suffers is staggering and on the increase year after year.
Common allergy symptoms include itchy, watery, red eyes, runny nose, sneezing, and fatigue. For some, these symptoms are quite mild, however, if they are more severe, it can make getting through this time of year extremely challenging.
The most intense symptoms commonly occur in the early spring and late summer/fall. Tree and flower pollens are the main spring culprits, while ragweed plays a major role in the fall. Grasses of all kinds can also wreck havoc for sensitive individuals throughout the summer.
However, many people may also be reacting to outdoor molds, dusts, animal dander, and other particulates in the air, without even realizing it. With smog and pollution on the increase, there is no shortage of air particles to react to.
How do we deal with this?
Using conventional methods - allergy shots, antihistamines, and other prescription or over-the-counter preparations, these symptoms can be effectively subdued. However, more and more people no longer want to use drugs, and are searching for more natural approaches for their health concerns.
These types of allergic responses are related to an overreaction of the immune system, mistaking otherwise harmless substances as a threat to the body. A major part of the immune system is associated with the digestive tract, so it is important to start to repair the digestive issues. Naturopathic medicine excels at treating the gut.
There may also be emotional issues involved in allergy. Early traumas or fears, for example, may be associated with the development and triggering of allergic responses. Sometimes, it may be necessary to deal with some of these emotional aspects for optimal relief and healing.
There are also many natural substances and nutrients which can act as antihistamines, without the additional stress of adding chemicals to the body. Herbal and homeopathic remedies can quickly bring relief, and strengthen the body to minimize future allergic reactions.
Energetic therapies can effectively neutralize symptoms or desensitize allergic responses. They can decrease the impact of plant and pollen stressors on the body, to help bring the body's response into balance.
A combination of these gentle and needle-free natural therapies and treatments can help your body feel normal again, and make dreading spring and fall allergy season a thing of the past.

It is a known fact that sometime during our lifetime, we will all experience some sort of back pain. According to a study conducted by the National Institutes of Health, back pain was discovered to be the second most regular neurological condition that affects people in the United States.
Natural remedies are becoming the popular choice for many people to treat their back pain these days because a lot of the prescription drugs carry bad side effects and they can be very expensive to buy. These remedies are considered to be a safe and cost efficient alternative to treat and hopefully cure back pain. Lets take a look at some of these natural remedies that are used to cure back pain.
Back pain is often treated by ice packs that are applied to troublesome pain areas on the back. This is a simple treatment that can be accomplished by taking ice cubes and sealing them in a plastic bag. Then you will need to place a towel over your back and then simply place the ice pack over the pain area and in most cases, you will get immediate relief from your pain.
Another way that you can relieve pain is to take a nice long hot bath. Most people are not aware that this can be an effective way to relieve their back pain. This is effective because the heat that is generated by the hot water increases the elasticity of your muscles. Make sure if you are going to do this that you spend a good amount of time soaking in the tub as the hot water will also improve your blood circulation and it will reduce the tension in your muscles.
A good massage can also help to relieve back pain. Everyone likes to be pampered by a great soothing massage and this is a proven method that helps to alleviate pain. Make sure that you are dealing with a professional massage therapist because this could make your back pain worse if the therapist does not know what he or she is doing. Let you therapist know about your back pain before the massage and that way he or she will be prepared to apply pressure to the appropriate areas during your session so you can get the maximum benefit.
It has been proven that excessive stress in your life can also lead to back pain. This can happen when you have physical and mental stress that has been overwhelming and piling up on you for a long period of time. You need to take the proper steps to deal with this stress such as taking time for yourself to relax and unwind each day and doing breathing exercises along with getting the proper amount of sleep which is at least 6 or 8 hours in a day. This will fasten the healing process.
Contrary to what you have probably heard, bed rest is not an option for your back pain. Most doctors will advise that you should keep moving around because complete bed rest can make your condition worse than it already is. Also, make sure that you do not jump right out of bed first thing in the morning. Take the time to gently turn toward your side and that way you can get out of bed more easily and hopefully without pain.
Depending on your case, you may be advised to do certain exercises to help the healing process. If you have strained muscles, you can get relief by doing stretching exercises. Do not attempt to do your own exercises without consulting your doctor as you will only make your back condition worse. Most of the time your doctor will advise you to do mild or moderate exercises such as walking or swimming. This exercise will also help you to control your weight which is a major factor in aggravating back pain.
If you are required to lift objects off the floor at your job, make sure to bend your knees and not lift with your back muscles. This will ensure that you do not put stress on your back muscles and make your condition worse.

Diabetes is linked with many health problems: low thyroid function, early onset of stroke, eye problems and neuropathy. More and more Americans are developing type II diabetes. Why is high blood sugar so detrimental to your health? The reason is that high blood sugar is toxic to blood vessels and nerves causing inflammation. If you observe the blood vessels of a diabetic patient, you will find that they look purple and enlarged indicating bad circulation. If these blood vessels are in the brain, the inflamed nerves cannot get sufficient nutrients. This is how you can lose your memory and your vision in your early fifties. If blood vessels are damaged in your legs or hands, small cuts in those areas will not heal easily, eventually developing ulcers deep to the bone. If your blood vessels are damaged in your testicles or ovaries, you can develop impotence, ovarian cysts, an irregular period and possibly infertility. If the inflammation happens in your prostate, you can develop prostatis or even prostate cancer. If the inflammation is in your thyroid, you will develop a hypothyroid condition. That is why diabetes and thyroid dysfunction always go hand in hand.
How can you stabilize your blood sugar to achieve optimal health? Eating whole foods is the key. You do not have to get rid of carbohydrates; you can eat whole wheat in moderation with vegetables. Eating fruits instead of drinking juice will help your body process the fructose slowly because of the fibers in the fruit. Simple sugars in processed food can go to your blood within half an hour, making your blood sugar spike right away. Your body will try to produce more insulin to quickly move the blood sugar into your fat cells, and your sugar can drop to very low levels after an hour. You will need another fix to bring up your blood sugar. This up-and-down process not only damages your blood vessels and nerves, but also can make you very moody and tired. The good thing about eating simple sugars is that you feel happy for half an hour because the simple sugars induce endorphin release right away and you do not need enzymes to digest sugar, thus no gas and bloating. But simple sugars do not provide any nutrients, and slowly cause inflammation in every part of your body, including joints without you knowing it.
Glucose intolerance is the condition in which insulin cannot function normally due to too much sugar intake every day, which desensitizes insulin receptors. Even though you have normal fasting blood sugar, sharp elevated blood sugar levels right after a meal can damage blood vessels and nerves irreversibly. The following study indicates that acupuncture treatment can prevent blood sugar surges induced by chemicals artificially; thus acupuncture can prevent neuropathy, stroke and even dementia. Healthy blood vessels and nerves are crucial for the normal function of the heart and brain. If you would like to remember your children's names by the age of eighty, please avoid processed food.
In a 2011 Journal of Endocrinology Investigation, Dr. Jiang YL, et. al used a single abdominal injection of a chemical called streptozotocin (STZ) to induce high blood sugar in rats. Rats were randomly divided into six groups: control, diabetes, preventive acupuncture plus streptozotocin injection, STZ injection plus therapeutic acupuncture, streptozotocin injection plus preventive and therapeutic acupuncture, and preventive and therapeutic acupuncture control. Body weight, blood glucose, serum insulin, lipid peroxidation, and antioxidant enzymes were measured by routine standard methods. Histological analysis of pancreatic islets was conducted. Their results showed that preventive acupuncture significantly reduced blood sugar levels, enhanced insulin efficiency, reduced body weight and pancreatic islet damage in rats with streptozotocin injection; it also significantly reduced serum lipid peroxidation and enhanced superoxide dismutase in the serum and the pancreas, which reduced oxidation stress and prevented the blood from clotting.
In clinical practices, when we applied acupuncture to type I and type II diabetes patients after each meal, their blood sugar reading usually is lowered within two hours. Since people cannot have acupuncture everyday to lower their blood sugar, eating low glycemic index food and doing regular exercise are also very important to resensitize the insulin receptor so that with the lowered level of insulin, people can still achieve an optimized blood sugar level. If you build more muscles through exercise, your body will use lower levels of insulin to stabilize blood sugar levels. Insulin itself is a growth factor, which can lead to an imbalance of hormones and chronic inflammation. If you pay attention to people who start using insulin for a couple of years, you will notice they all have a big belly and very thin limbs as they lose muscle mass.
Acupuncture not only can help the body stabilize blood sugar levels, but it also can be used to treat neuropathy because it can improve blood circulation to your hands and feet to facilitate peripheral nerve regeneration. The most recent article in Neuroscience. 2011 by Cidral-Filho FJ et. al. indicates that manual acupuncture inhibits mechanical hypersensitivity induced by spinal nerve injury in rats, which helps reduce the pins-and-needles sensation. Jin Z et. al did human clinical research in 2011 and found that electroacupuncture and acupoint injection with methylcobalamin can increase motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity, control and relieve the symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

Swimming, as a physical activity, is great for overall health including skin health. The way you breathe while swimming increases the flow of oxygen within your body, and the extra oxygen that enters your blood stream promotes the growth of new skin cells and heals inflamed skin. But, have you thought of the effect of the water, i.e. chlorinated pool water, on your skin? There are controversial theories on the effect of chlorine on skin. Let's discuss the science behind the effect of chlorine on acne-inflicted skin.
What is the chemistry of chlorinated water? Chlorine is powerful in fighting E-coli bacteria found in improperly filtered water. It is used in water-treatment plants and in swimming pools to keep microorganisms at bay. The chemical structure of chlorine breaks down the bacterial cell walls and purifies water. The same chlorine is also capable of attacking acne-causing bacteria and eliminates excessive oil accumulated in your skin pores. This perspective has led to the misconception that pool water aids in acne removal. In reality, the relief is temporary because constant or repeated exposure to chlorine can be harmful. Chlorine has a positive effect only when used in minute quantities; in fact, several skin care products contain small amounts of chlorine.
What happens when your skin is repeatedly exposed to chlorine? The acidic property of chlorine could inflict damages to sensitive skin, particularly facial skin. It not only destroys harmful microbes present in water and acne-causing bacteria, but also strips your skin off its natural oils, Vitamin E and other good bacteria. Eventually, your skin loses its oil balance and becomes dry and irritated. In response, your body triggers the oil glands to produce more oil to make up for the loss. Excessive oil starts trapping dirt and bacteria that tend to clog the skin pores and increase acne breakouts.
Now that you know the adverse effects of chlorinated water on acne, it is easier to adopt means to counter that problem. After each swimming session, use a mild exfoliating agent to remove chlorine trapped on the skin surface and apply a good moisturizer. It is best to use natural acne products, such as Aloe Vera based lotions. If your skin is already affected by chlorinated water, acne home remedies or herbal remedies are the best option to prevent aggravation. The idea behind the acne treatment is to eliminate any chlorine accumulated on the skin. Leaving it untreated could cause wrinkles and lead to premature aging.
Perhaps, you're pondering about the effect of chlorinated tap water. What happens when you shower in chlorinated water? Water treatment plants do not use as much chlorine as swimming pools. In fact, chlorinated water will not have any adverse effect on your skin if the pH balance is optimal, i.e., a pH level of 7 to 8.
The irritation caused by chlorine also depends on the skin type, i.e. how your skin reacts to chlorine. Some people may just experience some dryness, while other can see their acne problem worsen. Protective measures will help you reap the benefits of swimming as a physical activity, while eliminating chlorine-induced problems.
